This is going to be a long review!!

Our Emmy is almost 10 months and I must say this review has been long overdue. In the mix of a pandemic, when working as a health care professional, everything seemed uncertain. My wife, also a nurse, surprised me with the decision to get a Shepherd puppy. As we have been researching for a year...and with the luck of the draw, we stumbled across Vom Lance German Shepherds. We decided to call the number and had a great experience talking with Nancy. I told my wife that I was not sure of the price. She called Nancy and spoke to her as well afterwards. The next day, we decided to take the 5 hour drive in the hopes that we would find a good puppy for our family, and at the very least get to check them out in person.

Upon arrival, we were greeted with extreme professionalism. Nancy welcomed us and opened her home for us. I had many doubts and questions, but Nancy made sure every single question was answered. I must say we felt at home. I was hesitant of the price of the puppies, and Nancy's extreme professionalism and honestly were remarkable. She made sure all of our questions were answered, and also made sure our kids were comfortable. We had ample opportunity to ask many questions and she took the time we needed to make our decision to choose our Emmy.

We acquired our nine week old long haired pure/bred alpha male German Shepherd from Vom Lance breeders early last year. Our dog Genghis, just turned 18 months.

He has been an absolute delight! He is true to his breed as a German Shepherd should be. Highly, highly intelligent, happy, healthy, loyal, affectionate, playful, protective, loves to please, and adores our family/friends/neighbors and other animals with unabashed affection and joy.

First let me start by telling you Nancy dogs are her fuzzy children and the puppies are her grandchildren...so you can have a full understanding of the love and care she gives them. The pups are all happy and healthy and well rounded. And very sound.

The second observation is her and her husband's integrity. I cannot state how important this is when picking out a puppy! This is not just a business. There is nothing more important to them. Honestly, pure love and hard work. Any reservations about picking up a new puppy disappears after meeting with Nancy. I felt like the luckiest person on earth after spending time with her and my new dream boat little boy, Dr. Forbin. Let me add, I flew across the country after over a year of researching where to find my next puppy. Vom Lance German Shepherds do not disappoint! It was like I won the lottery!

Third point...just because I flew across the country, did not mean I was a shoe-in to bring one of her grandpups home with me. She makes sure you are a good fit. Again...it's not about the money, it's that integrity and love. Yes, we talked many times on the phone and I had started following her on Instagram... so we kind of had a feel for each other. But not until we actually spent time together and carefully watching my interactions did she feel comfortable with allowing me to take over her duty of love and care and giving this puppy a wonderful forever home.

Fourth...when you bring home your new puppy, you become family with the Vom Lance Shepherd family!

So if you are interested in a German Shepherd, obviously I can't say enough...yes, I could have gone on even further...you too will feel this way. I promise!
